SUN Bucks: Summer Grocery Benefits
for Families that Qualify!

We want to make sure all our Pioneer families know about SUN Bucks, a new grocery benefits program to help families buy food during the summer when schools are closed.
Each eligible school-age child can receive $120 in food benefits this summer! Families can still participate in other summer meal programs even if they receive SUN Bucks.

How It Works:
SUN Bucks benefits are loaded onto EBT cards and mailed to your home. They can be used to buy food at grocery stores, markets, and other locations that accept EBT.

Who’s Eligible?

Children ages 8–18 whose families participate in SNAP or TANF, OR
Children who attend a school offering free or reduced-price meals

Have you moved recently?
Make sure your address is updated with DSHS or your child’s school to ensure you receive your SUN Bucks card in the mail.
