Thursday, June 21st – Last Day School

Pioneer School District’s last day of school for the 2017-2018 school year is Thursday, June 21st.  Lunch will be served to students before school is dismissed at 11:30 am.

The Summer Link Program is scheduled July 9th – August 3rd.  Sign up forms are available but must be completed ASAP.  Please contact your child’s school office if you have questions regarding the program.

2018-2019 School Calendar

We are pleased to announce the Pioneer Board of Directors has approved the 2018-2019 school calendar.  This calendar includes only district-wide holidays and events.  School-specific events are not included, so be sure to check school websites/calendars for specific school-related events and activities.

Pioneer Bus 304

This afternoon, Pioneer School Bus 304 was involved in a small accident on Agate Road.  The bus was rear-ended by another vehicle.  No injuries to students or driver.  Parents of the students involved in the incident have been notified.  Pioneer administrators were on-site to assist with family reunification.

School Board Meeting Tonight Begins at 7:00 pm

The April school board meeting is scheduled for tonight, Wednesday, April 25, 2018 begins at 7 pm.  The meeting will be held in the Board Room in the Administration Bldg. located at 112 E. Spencer Lake Road.  The public is welcome to attend.

Invite to Parents & Community Members

The Pioneer Board of Directors invites parents and community members to meet and hear from the four finalist on Tuesday, April 24th beginning at 3:30 pm in the Middle School Library.  

The four individuals are:

  • 3:30 pm — JoAnne Fabian, Chief Academic Officer of the Tukwila School District
  • 5:30 pm — John Gummel, Principal at Kelso High School
  • 6:30 pm — Keith Harris, Director at Big Horn School District in Cowley, Wyoming
  • 7:30 pm — Michael Merrin, Independent Consultant in Puyallup

The community is invited to hear each candidate speak for 45 minutes.  Community members will be asked to provide feedback for consideration by the Board.  Anyone hoping to submit questions for the candidates should arrive 15 minutes before the interview session begins.
