October 7, 2021

As our state continues its ongoing fight against COVID-19, the guidance and requirements for K–12 schools continue to change.

On October 4, the Department of Health (DOH) added the following changes to its requirements for schools:

  • Updated K-12 school outbreak definition in alignment with CDC.
  • Inclusion of outdoor classrooms in K-12 close contact exception definition.
  • References added for new Symptom Decision Tree and Contact Tracing Checklist for K–12 Schools and COVID-19 Contact Tracing Guide and FAQ for K–12 Schools tools.

Review the K–12 COVID-19 Requirements for Summer 2021 and the 2021–2022 School Year.

How do we decide who needs to isolate at home and get tested?

Our district follows the COVID-19 Decision Tree from DOH.
