FOR PARENTS WHO HAD CHILDREN RECEIVING SPECIAL EDUCATION SERVICES IN THE 2015 and 2016 SCHOOL YEARS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Pioneer School District’s Special Education department will shred your child’s records as per WAC 392-172A-05235 which is listed below.
Special Education Program – Student History File includes psychological and IQ test results, eligibility decision documentation, evaluation, and other reports, Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), correspondence, and other information regarding the student.
PER WAC 392-172A-05235: “Each school district shall inform parents and adult, students, when personally identifiable information collected, maintained, or used in compliance with this chapter is no longer needed to provide educational services to the student, or is no longer required to be retained under state or federal law.
